Americans for Nuclear is a 501(C)(3) Nonprofit Charitable Organization (EIN: 39-2108477) Educating the Public on Nuclear Energy, Science, and Technology
Our mission is to educate and inform the public about Nuclear Energy, and Nuclear Science and Technology in new and exciting ways.
Our approach to nuclear education is unique - with groundbreaking, fast-paced video content distilling the nuances of nuclear energy in fun, exciting, and engaging manner - our videos are made with experienced professional media producers who produce Hollywood-level quality videos - this unique approach to pro-nuclear educational media has been proven to reach the general public and get them involved in ways that the nuclear industry prevously struggled with.
Our Leadership Team
Our Board of Directors is made up of a team of nuclear professionals who possess over 20 years of combined experience in the nuclear industry. Our Founders have a deep understanding of the benefits of nuclear energy, and the challenges that need to be overcome to allow for nuclear energy, and nuclear science and technology, to play a larger role in fulfilling the world's energy needs.

Chris Slaughter
President and Co-Founder
Chris Slaughter is the President and Co-Founder of Americans for Nuclear. He posseses over 11 years of experience in the Nuclear Industry, and spearheaded the groundbreaking Pro-Nuclear Video Series on behalf of the worldwide nuclear industry.
The Pro-Nuclear Videos that Chris has directed, written, narrated, and produced have been seen by over 60,000 members of the public, and counting - including, but not limited to: United Nations (UN) Delegates, UN Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP) Attendees, US Members of Congress, and Senior Management and Executives in the Global Nuclear Industry.
Chris is a Senior Reactor Operator in Training at the Catawba Nuclear Station with Duke Energy. Prior to his current role, Chris served as a Nuclear Operator, Training Material Developer for the Non-Licensed Operator, and Licensed Operator (Reactor Operator (RO) and Senior Reactor Operator (SRO)) Training Programs, and Design Engineering Technical Specialist at the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station with Dominion Energy. He has also held various positions of increasing responsibility at Westinghouse Electric Company (WEC), and South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCE&G) - which includes experience in the Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing sector and the Westinghouse AP1000 Reactor.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Excelsior University and is a member of the Alpha Nu Sigma National Honors Society with the American Nuclear Society (ANS). He was also the first student in the history of Excelsior University to be awarded the United States Department of Energy (US DOE)'s University Nuclear Leadership Program (UNLP) Scholarship in 2024, which is administered by the Idaho National Laboratory (INL).
Chris has over 8 years of experience in leadership roles in various nonprofit organizations, many of whom he started from the ground up.
Chris is actively involved in North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN), and was awarded the prestigous NAYGN Individual Achievement Award and NAYGN Future Award in 2023 and 2024, respectively. He served in various leadership roles within NAYGN, including but not limited to: Video Development Team Lead, Concert Planning Committee Lead, Engagement Committee Lead, Public Information Legislative Affairs Lead, and Social Media Lead. In addition, he also served as Vice President of the V.C. Summer NAYGN Chapter.
Chris is also featured on the groundbreaking pro-nuclear documentary, "The Nuclear Frontier", where he was interviewed as a nuclear industry Subject Matter Expert, and coordinated the video shoot and interviews with Nuclear and Mechanical Engineering Students and Faculty at the University of South Carolina (USC) in February 2025. During the filming process, Chris worked with the documentary's director and provided the film crew with Pro-Nuclear B-Roll Footage filmed by Americans for Nuclear which was utilized extensively in this documentary. "The Nuclear Frontier" documentary premiered at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts (also known as The Kennedy Center) in Washington, D.C. on September 15, 2025, to widespread critical acclaim.

Jason Galloway
Vice President and Co-Founder
Jason Galloway is the Vice President and Co-Founder of Americans for Nuclear. He possesses over 20 years of nuclear industry experience. Jason is an Operations Shift Manager and serves as the Operations Department Corrective Action and Human Performance Program Manager at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Power Station with Dominion Energy. Jason is directly responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the V.C. Summer Nuclear Power Station, and is responsible for the proper administration of the station's Corrective Action Program (CAP) and Human Performance (HU) Program.
Jason earned a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License from the V.C. Summer Nuclear Power Station, and is a Veteran of the United States Navy.
In addition, Jason was actively involved in North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN), serving as their 2022, 2023, and 2024 NAYGN Continental Conference Planning Lead. Due to his efforts, he was awarded the prestigious NAYGN Individual Achievement Award in 2023. He also served as the President of the V.C. Summer NAYGN Chapter, and currently serves as Chairman of the Employee Engagement Committee at V.C. Summer Station.

Jeremy Miller
Secretary, Treasurer, and Co-Founder
Jeremy Miller is the Secretary, Treasurer, and Co-Founder of Americans for Nuclear. He possesses over 20 years of experience in the nuclear industry. Jeremy is the Nuclear Outage Manager at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Power Station with Dominion Energy, where he bears the overall responsibility for the successful planning and execution of all Refueling Outages at the station.
Jeremy earned a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License from San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) with Southern California Edison, and is a Veteran of the United States Navy. Jeremy also posseses experience with the Westinghouse AP1000 Reactor, where he served in Operations and Workweek Management roles.
In addition, Jeremy is actively involved in North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN), and served as the President of the V.C. Summer NAYGN Chapter.
